BENEATH THE VEIL
Beneath The Veil is a reaction against common modern misconceptions about Islamic attitudes towards sexuality. By illustrating realities in modern Muslim societies, in regards to pre-modern Muslim attitudes towards sex eg. before fanatical and fundamentalist interpretations of the Qur’an, this project attempts to demonstrate that Islam is a religion that celebrates bodily pleasure, and to educate against the true oppressor—misinformation.
