“Her controversial subject areas reference her social commentary on the subjects at hand. The backbone of sexuality, social commentary and wit is a constant theme in her work...as is...her openness and her questioning of her environment about her. There is a real bravery to her work that is uncommon, and
quite special.”

I was born and raised in Malaysia, where my fascination with contemporary morality began, as did my desire to daringly question societal and cultural norms. The conservative culture I grew up with coupled with my recent years in London leads me to create work that is sensitive, post-feminist, and introspective in nature.

My illustration styles are diverse and varied, a reflection of my diverse upbringing and many   influences. From delicate pencil drawings juxtaposed with stark colouring , to pen-and-ink illustrations reminiscent of graphic novels, to lush paintings seamlessly blended into photography with Photoshop. However all my work is underlined by the same incisiveness, wit, a cruel sense of humour, and unabashed penwomanship.

I graduated from Central St. Martins with a BA (Honours) Graphic Design in 2009, specialising in Illustration. I now freelance as an illustrator. I have gone on to exhibit and work with Chelsea Town Hall, Selfridges, Shoreditch House, the London Underground, anti-knife charity Art Against Knives, and Central St. Martins. My work is also part of The University Of The Arts London collection and has been distributed internationally to brand and promote St. Martins college.

In addition to my freelance work I also work for Malaysian arts academy and charity StART Society, teaching art & design workshops to underpriviledged children.
